I was asked by Penguin Random House to write a book on Design, I already had been thinking about Ordinary Made Extraordinary as a concept for a while and it seemed the natural choice for the title... I have enough content now for a second book, but that's a little way off.

It was a really interesting process, I worked with editor Rosemary Davidson at the publisher who was great to work with. I wanted the book to be entirely photgraphic and not to have illustrations. I worked alongside photographer Mark Vessey and we took over 10,000 photos for the book, from the cover to all the step-bystep pictures, and the before and after shoots. We converted a room into a photographic studio for a year and built different backdrop sets to represent ordinary interiors. It was quite a stressful process often trying to get the right shots and remember everything. Well Made Studio produced the graphics and layout in the book which was done to make the reading of it seem effortless, their decision making was always spot on and their attention to detail was really gratifying.

I hope you like the book, it is available in most bookshops like Waterstones and of course online. It's also OK if you don't like the book. I am happy to send you a signed copy at £18 + p&p (Just email me)
